A short drive away is the nature reserve of Slapton Ley, the perfect place for birdwatching whilst enjoying the views of this stunning stretch of coast.

• RNLI Visitor Centre: Situated centrally along the South Embankment, this is a welcoming space for visitors to discover more about the lifesaving work of Dartmouth’s lifeboat crews. Entry is free, and kids can dress up in replica uniforms before jumping on board an RNLI dinghy (on land, of course!) —making it a great stop for all ages
