SUMMARY:The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery
DESCRIPTION:The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery\, to give it its full title\, is a farce by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin Jr. It follows a ‘terribly-talented-yet-hapless’ amateur dramatic group attempting to stage a serious 1930’s Agatha Christie-style whodunit only for everything to go disastrously wrong. \nThe plot within the play is set in the isolated drawing room of Checkmate Manor where an extended family gathers for the reading of the late Sir Reginald Bishop’s lucrative will. Greed takes over as various family members eye the millions in Sir Reginald’s estate. A string of murders begins. Everyone has a motive. \nOn stage the ambitious ladies of the title face collapsing scenery\, missing sound cues\, forgotten lines and more. \nCamp Theatre is a Community Theatre Company that was founded in 1994 and has just performed its 75th production. The company has toured the South West regularly since 2011 and has donated more than £75\,000 to a wide range of local\, national and international charities.

SUMMARY:The Budapest Café Orchestra 2026
DESCRIPTION:Refreshingly unconventional and snappily attired boutique orchestra BCO play gypsy and folk-flavoured music in their unique and surprising way. From Balkan and Russian traditional music to their artful distillations of Romantic masterworks to soaring Gaelic folk anthems\, BCO is an infectious musical experience and like none other.\nWith 16 albums to their name Budapest Café Orchestra was established by British composer and violinist Christian Garrick in 2009. A diminutive ensemble of just four players\, the BCO creates an astonishing soundscape and aural alchemy characteristic of larger ensembles\, combining violin\, guitar\, accordion\, double bass\, saz\, balalaika\, domra and percussion to dazzling effect.\nEvoking vivid images of Tzigane fiddle maestros\, Budapest café life and gypsy campfires – plus a few surprises along the way – hugely entertaining\, immense skill and profound musicianship.\nA show by the BCO is enough to make you want to book that holiday down the Danube!
