SUMMARY:Swing that Music with Down for the Count All-Stars

Combine that with the band’s top class instrumental solos\, sublime vocal performances\, Join the UK’s hardest swinging band Down for the Count All-Stars for “one hellova celebration of vintage music” (Time Out London) – it’s time to Swing That Music!\nDescribed as “a breath of fresh air on the swing scene” (Twinwood Festival) Down for the Count’s 10-piece mini big band is regularly found in jazz clubs across the UK and abroad (Ronnie Scott’s London\, Le Caveau de la Huchette Paris)\, at festivals including London Jazz Festival\, and on BBC Radio. SUMMARY:The Budapest Café Orchestra 2026
DESCRIPTION:Refreshingly unconventional and snappily attired boutique orchestra BCO play gypsy and folk-flavoured music in their unique and surprising way. From Balkan and Russian traditional music to their artful distillations of Romantic masterworks to soaring Gaelic folk anthems\, BCO is an infectious musical experience and like none other.\nWith 16 albums to their name Budapest Café Orchestra was established by British composer and violinist Christian Garrick in 2009. A diminutive ensemble of just four players\, the BCO creates an astonishing soundscape and aural alchemy characteristic of larger ensembles\, combining violin\, guitar\, accordion\, double bass\, saz\, balalaika\, domra and percussion to dazzling effect.\nEvoking vivid images of Tzigane fiddle maestros\, Budapest café life and gypsy campfires – plus a few surprises along the way – hugely entertaining\, immense skill and profound musicianship.\nA show by the BCO is enough to make you want to book that holiday down the Danube!

SUMMARY:Cally Beaton: Namaste Motherf*ckers
DESCRIPTION:Namaste Motherf*ckers is the new show from Cally Beaton (QI\, Live at the Apollo) – a quick-witted\, unexpected and unapologetic insight into life in midlife. Combining Cally’s comedic and storytelling prowess with extracts from her provocative\, stereotype-busting book of the same name\, the show has at its heart her own story of radical reinvention – taking her from meetings in boardrooms to treading the boards\, thanks to a chance conversation with the late\, great Joan Rivers.
